Southern Pipe & Supply serves both trade professionals and homeowners with the very best of brand name plumbing, heating, air-conditioning (HVAC), industrial, mechanical, water and sewer supplies. We can help with everything from large commercial projects to residential kitchens and baths.
We’re headquartered in Meridian, Mississippi, where our founder, Louis Davidson, began his pursuit of the American dream as a 20-year-old Russian immigrant in 1901. We’re now on our fourth generation of family ownership, still building our business on a firm foundation of integrity, commitment and trust.
We’re one of our industry’s largest privately held, independent wholesalers in the Southeast. We’re big enough to provide a wide selection and competitive prices, but small enough to be flexible and respond quickly to customer needs.
Our family members (as we call our employees) develop long-term personal relationships with our customers. Some of our clients say that we know their needs almost better than they do.
Southern Pipe’s high-tech Central Distribution Center supports the branches with a constantly turning multimillion-dollar inventory. An interactive computer system keeps this intricate operation smoothly choreographed. Though it averages 70,000 transactions per month, the CDC boasts an error rate of less than 1 percent on orders shipped to the branches.
We have worked with our customers to designate more than 900 items as critical-service items – essential products and equipment that customers need every day. On orders for these crucial items, our CDC has achieved a near perfect “fill rate” of 99.7 percent.
For the consumer, our Southern Bath & Kitchen designer showrooms amount to a homeowner’s theme park. We have dozens of locations throughout Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida and Tennessee.
